Congratulations Pi Class, you are all now principled business leaders. Take a moment to give yourselves a well-deserved round of applause.
These past 8 weeks have been filled with ups and downs. You've faced moments of uncertainty, stepping into every pledge meeting not knowing what to expect. You had to adapt, prepare, and face whatever came your way. And you did — with resilience and courage.
First, there were the case studies. These case studies are projects that take most people an entire semester, and you all finished 2 case studies within 4 weeks with people you barely even knew.
Then, there was midcourt. You overcame your fears and took on the challenge, becoming stronger on the other side. You are now prepared to walk into any job interview, confidently, and get through any question you are being asked with less fear and nerves.
And… lastly… there were the constant Slack messages. Even the ones at 1am in the morning… while some of you were getting me donuts from Seaside… But with brotherhood, unity, and service, you got through them as a team, in an efficient and timely manner.
But remember, this is just the beginning. The pledge process has instilled strong values, resilience, and adaptability in you.
Take these lessons into the real world. Join that engineering project you’ve always wanted to work on, but never did because you didn’t think you were good enough to do. Rebuild that finance club that’s barely staying afloat, and give it a renewed sense of purpose, making a real impact on the club and its members.
And don’t expect it to be easy. The first step is talking about your goals — almost anyone can do that. Those who get stuck here are the ones who criticize and judge, focusing on others instead of their own growth and project their own insecurities on other people. Don’t be that person.
Make that second step, which is taking action. this is something only about 10% of people do. This part is incredibly important and shows how serious you are about your goals.
However, the third step, which is completing your goals, is the most important part. Only 1% of people push through and reach it.
As you work toward your goals, keep fighting for them with conviction.
Look at situations from different perspectives, form your own opinions, and stand up for what you believe in. Never aim to please anyone because this will never lead to any results. Trying to satisfy everyone is impossible, so focus on doing what you believe is right with all the information you analyzed. Yes, people will talk behind your back, start false rumors, criticize, and doubt you. Fuck them. Always fight for what you believe in. Keep your head down, block out the noise, and deliver results because, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters are the results.
Finally, I want to say thank you.
Throughout this process, I’ve learned so much from each of you. You all embodied true brotherhood and reminded me of the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships. Your unity and willingness to sacrifice for each other were inspiring and it made me realize that this is something I can strive to cultivate more in my own life.
You all helped me realize the true meaning of each value in ways I hadn’t fully understood before. Even though it didn’t seem like it, I learned just as much from you as you did from me, and for that, I am grateful.
You all mean the world to me, and I am rooting for each and every one of you. I will be there for you every step of the way and will never stop believing in any of you.
Congratulations Pi Class on crossing, and again, thank you for everything.
Love,
Dylann
